Cannabis Caramels Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2/3 Cup Cannabutter (See our Cannabutter recipe)

  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 Cups of brown sugar

  • 1 Stick Unsalted Butter

  • 1 Cup light corn syrup

  • 2 tsp of vanilla

  • pinch of salt

Things you’ll need

  • Heavy bottom Stockpot

  • Spatula

  • Candy Thermometer

  • Baking tray

  • Parchment

How to Make Cannabis Caramels

1.) Prepare your Cannabutter (See our Cannabutter Recipe).

2.) Add the Brown Sugar, Condensed milk, Corn syrup, Cannabutter and regular butter in the Stockpot and place this on the stove over medium heat. Position your candy thermometer on the side of the Pot.

3.) Cook the Caramel infused with Cannabis mixture for about 20 mins and allow this to reach 238 – 240 degrees F. Stir this regularly to ensure the bottom will not burn.

4.) Once it reaches the correct temperature remove this from the heat and continue to stir.

5.) Add in the Vanilla extract and mix vigorously until your Cannabutter Caramels are well incorporated.

6.) Prepare your baking tray and line this with parchment paper.

7.) Pour in your Cannabis Caramel mixture and scrape off every bit of it using a spatula. Set aside to allow the candy to settle for a couple of days in the refrigerator.

8.) Cut pre-made parchment paper squares for wrapping. Cut into squares and portion them as you prefer. Sprinkle a bit of sea salt on top of each square to make Salted Cannabis Caramels. Viola! You can now store them to enjoy whenever and wherever you desire!
