Weed Hot Chocolate

We will show you how to make the classic weed hot chocolate that is not only simple to make but also very delicious and satisfying!

Who wouldn’t love a cup of hot chocolate on a cold frosty morning? Well I know I do! Better yet! It is undeniably extra better if this is infused with Cannabis to get that euphoric effect we love! What a great morning it would be sipping on a warm cup while getting lifted into the horizon! What a morning that would be!

This potent yet smooth weed hot chocolate is cardamom, turmeric, and ginger spiced so this has a classic flavor that has more than a single kick to it!

Weed Hot Chocolate Recipe


  • 1 1/3 cup raw cocoa paste or 100% pure cocoa

  • 4 cups unsweetened milk

  • 0.4 grams cannabis (preferred top-shelf weed)

  • 1 cup coconut sugar

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Recommended but optional:

  • 12 cardamom seeds

  • 8 peppercorns (black)

  • 1 fresh turmeric root (thumb-size)

  • 1 fresh ginger root (thumb-size)

How to make Weed Hot Chocolate

1.) In a crockpot add the milk and set to low heat. Aim at a range around 125 to 200 F. Don’t let the crock pot get too hot or you may vaporize the cannabinoids in the cannabis.

2.) Peel your roots (ginger & turmeric). Using a mortar and pestle, grind the cardamom and black peppercorns.

3.) Grind your weed coarsely and add this in the warm crock pot with milk. Add a tbsp of coconut oil and add all the roots and spices in the mix.

4.) Let the blend simmer on very low heat for the next 6-8 hours or even overnight is better. Make sure to keep this attended unless you are certain you can keep the temp under 200 F. It is important to keep the temp between 125-200 F to maximize extraction.

5.) Using a strainer, pour the mixture into a container to remove all roots and spices. Use a spoon or a spatula to press the sediments to squeeze out all the goodness left into it.

6.) Pour everything into a blender and if possible try to keep the temperature still at 125-200 F. Add in the 100% pure cocoa or cocoa paste and add the coconut sugar. Adjust to taste. The sweetener can also be substituted with honey or maple syrup depending on your preference. Blend everything together until you get a frothy mixture.

7.) Now, you can pour the Cannabis infused Hot chocolate in a mug and enjoy!
